Switzerland

The platform's home market: an operating digital infrastructure campus with live capacity, and greenfield capacity with direct renewable supply.

Switzerland

Position

Switzerland combines political stability, legal certainty, strong data protection and a central location in Europe, making it a natural home for sovereign and regulated workloads. UBS estimates Swiss commercial data centre capacity at about 340 MW, more than doubled since 2020, with demand from financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals and the large cloud providers running ahead of supply.

The platform's Swiss facilities include an operating digital infrastructure campus with live grid capacity, expanded through Qore Modular without zoning or permitting risk, and a greenfield facility with direct renewable supply.

Sovereign AI, made in Switzerland

Switzerland is building its own AI capabilities, including the open, multilingual Apertus model trained on the Alps supercomputer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre. Programmes of this kind require domestic capacity under Swiss control.
